The 21st meeting of the User Group took place at the newly refurbished facilities at IBM's Hursley lab. Being at the home of MQ meant we could get some really good quality speakers, and this helped make it a good meeting... Our day opened with a good presentation from Leif Davidsen on extending Websphere business integration beyond the enterprise. We also had a very interesting presentation from Vince Sethi on MQ and WMQI at JPMorgan Chase. In the afternoon James West showed us a roadmap for the future with Websphere MQ Integration, and this was followed by a lively panel discussion. Being at Hursley we had some of the top names on our platform, and this really added to the session.

To close out the day we split into two groups for sessions on Publish/Subscribe, administering queue manager clusters, web services and WBI Adaptors.

Our next meeting will once again be part of the annual GSE Working Groups Conference at Sutton Coldfield on October 15th. The GSE people will be handling registrations and I urge you to register early (by the middle of September) to get the special earlybird price of £50
